Being a small village, Brynhafod is a close knit community, everyone knows everyone else.
Arfon is a Graphic Designer who runs his own company dh Graphics on Railway Terrace, he lives above the office with his dachshunds Bovril and Oxo and drives a bright red Audi Quattro, he can often be seen in and around Brynhafod with his camera. Next door live Mair and Dafydd, Mair runs the local newsagent Daily Scoop while Dafydd works as a train driver.
Next to the Daily Scoop is The Model Shop run by Elfyn and his wife Gwenllian. Elfyn and Gwen were childhood sweethearts and like most of the inhabitants of Brynhafod grew up in the village. Elfyn likes his models and rents a room in the factory where he’s built a huge model railway of Brynhafod.
At the end of Railway Terrace is Ethel’s Cafe. The cafe is run by Rhianwen who named her premises after a famous cafe on a popular soap opera. Visitors to Brynhafod mistakingly call her Ethel but all the locals know her as Rhi.
Morgan owns J&B Bland the Tobacconists which was established in 1895 by his great great grandfather Jon Bland. He lives alone and is quite reserved, known locally as the quiet one.
The other noticeable building in Railway Terrace is the Odeon cinema run by Tomos and Eirianwen. They love their old movies and tend to show mostly old classics like The Proud Valley, which are very popular with the people of Brynhafod, resulting in a full house most Saturdays.
Behind Railway Terrace lies Heol Eirw a similar street in size where retired couple Nansi and Gwyn live. Despite constantly bickering they have been happily married for 59 years.
Other residents of Heol Eirw include the young couple Eirlys and Hywel, Myfanwy and Geraint, Bryn and Fflur. Further afield live Gerwyn, Blaidd, Gwyndaf, Mwydyn and Charlie who owns the cycle shop on Railway Terrace.
Occasionally Brynhafod has unsavory visitors like Richard Head!
